Tea Ware Sale a.k.a. Tysons Relief Fund

I want to Thank everybody who has lent a helping hand by purchasing these items. It means the world to me to provide Tyson with everything he going to need in the coming months. I,ve had many, many pets in my lifetime. They were animals that I cared for and loved. When their time was up I was sad and missed them. But this guys passing is going to be a lot more difficult. Tyson has never seen a stranger his entire life, only a new friends. He absolutely loves somebody just taking the time to say Hi, maybe a pat on the head. If that happens he,s tickled pink for the rest of the day. I know the day is coming when it,s time to say goodbye, I,ll be as lonely as a cloud.

So, once again, Thank You

Bret & Tyson

Hario V60 coffee set up. Includes range server, V60 ceramic drip and the Buono kettle. $85.00 for all three.
These pics were nabbed from the web but all three items are in brand new condition and come in original boxes. The kettle is excellent for tea as well, very precise control over rate of pour with pin point accuracy.

SOLD
Set of Japanese coasters. Made in the 40,s Cherry wood. Perfect size for small size cups. Actually, these were intended for sake. They seem to be quite dusty in this pic. Made I should have cleaned them up a bit before taking these pics. Keep in mind that these are about 70 years old. And while they have certainly been used there is  no damage of any sort. $35.00 There are 5 coasters inside the wood box. I personally think these are really cool. Probably not for a person that wants their wears in pristine condition.

SOLD
Pair of Red Shino cups by Petr Novak. Used but in like new condition. No damage. $20.00 for the pair.

SOLD
This Matcha bowl came to me through a friend. The story goes that she had found this in her fathers attic after he had passed away. He had been stationed in Japan after the war. She had said that her father was not a tea drinker and she never knew that he had this bowl or ever heard it mentioned by her father. Whether this story is true or not I have no way of knowing. But the box that the bowl was found in is the same one in the picture, it does appear to be very old, almost grey in color. There is no makers mark on the bowl and I have only used it a couple of times. No damage, wear, or stains. $20.00

The ribbon on the box is not original. The one that was originally on the box had deteriorated to the point of no longer being functional.

SOLD
Pair of Jing De Jhen Porcelain cups. Mint condition. Capacity about 2 oz. $10.00

SOLD
Pair of Jing De Zhen porcelain cups. Mint condition. Capacity about 2 oz. $10.00

SOLD
Japanese tea bowl. Made in the early 1900,s Hand painted. The porcelain is so thin and delicate that when held up to the light you can actually see through it. Has a different scene on 4 sides. Hard to appreciate by looking at the pics. But when held in your hand it,s easy to see it,s quality. No damage or wear of any type. $20.00

SOLD

2 cups by Xu Di Jia famous Taiwan potter. Obviously used but no damage or wear. On the left is blue celadon. On the right is rice porcelain. Capacity is about 4 oz. Clay is quite thick, holds heat very well.

  2. GN,

You know, pet owners always know that sooner or later the day is coming when it,s time to say goodbye. Ive had many pets in my life and with each of them I could see the deterioration that comes with age. Kinda gives you a heads up, you can see it coming. But with Tyson I had-have no indication at all that there was anything wrong, caught me completely off guard.

  4. Hi Jakub,

Actually, both Matcha bowls are still available. Which one would you like?

Tysons doing fine, back to his normal self. Lots of belly rubs gets him through the day.

  5. Hello Bret!

Glad to hear good news. I´m more of a "cat person" but definitely can understand your concern about Tyson though.

And I fell in love with that matcha bowl with the box so in case it´s still available (though having a mark "Sold" since today) you can count with me. I´ll send you an e-mail on your official address mentioned below your profile, ok?

Thanks a lot for a reply and take care,
    Jakub
